Show your support for education every time you venture out in your vehicle. The "Helping Schools" license plate is available to all alumni, students, parent and friends who have registered Missouri vehicles. By purchasing the "Helping Schools" license plates, you also help financially support the Sedalia School District Foundation, Inc.

You can order your plates anytime, regardless of your current plate's expiration date. These plates expire annually, (or biannually if you have a two-year registration) in the month they are purchased.

Here's the simple process:

  1. Mail a tax-deductible donation of $15 (for one year) to the Sedalia School District Foundation, Inc., P.O. Box 2505, Sedalia, MO 65302-2505. If you want a two-year registration, the donation is $30.00. Make the check payable to the Sedalia School District Foundation.

  2. When you send in your check, include a note telling us that you wish to register for a "Helping Schools" license plate.

  3. When we receive both your check and request, we will send you a statement that you will need to take to your local license bureau. The statement is proof that you contributed to the Foundation and is required when you submit your plate application.

  4. We will send you a sample of that application when we send you your paid statement. Complete a personalized plate application. You must order a personalized plate to take advantage of this offer. Go online to see how your plate will look. http://www.dor.mo.gov/mvdl/motorv/plates/ Select "Helping Schools" as the design category. The actual license plate is very colorful.

  5. Take your application and an additional $15 personalized plate fee to the local Motor Vehicle Bureau, along with whatever paperwork is normally required to license your vehicle.

  6. When the local license bureau notifies you that your plates are ready, you may pick them up there. If you have questions about your order, contact your local license bureau.
